The beauty of engineered stone shines brightly with Quantra countertops. This engineered stone (commonly called quartz) material is one of the most flexible, low-maintenance and durable countertop materials available for commercial use.
Although man-made, Quantra countertops are nearly indistinguishable from natural stone like marble and granite. Quantra products come in a range of colors and styles, to match your home’s decor. At Seacoast Stone, we’re proud to sell Quantra in a range of styles.
What Is Quantra Made From?
Quantra is a man-made product made from 93% premium grade pure Natural Quartz and 7% high quality polyester resin. To create these countertops, natural quartz crystals are mined from the earth, crushed into dust and then mixed with resin to form a solid slab.
What Natural Materials Do Quantra Products Resemble?
Quantra produces countertops that look like limestone, concrete, marble, terrazzo, quartzite, granite, sandstone, onyx, composite and slate.
What Colors Are Available For Quantra Countertops?
Quantra countertops come in earthy tones like gray, cream, white, black and brown.
Is Quantra Durable?
Quantra is a non-porous material made from the finest quality unleaded pigments available. This makes Quantra highly durable and long-lasting. It is scratch-resistant, stain-resistant and heat-resistant. It is also resistant to damage from chemical cleaners.
How Long Do Quantra Countertops Last?
Quantra can last for decades. This material lasts longest when the surface is protected from direct sunlight, which can cause the colors to fade.
How Do You Maintain Quantra Countertops?
Wash Quantra with non-acidic cleaner or household detergent, then rinse with water. Regular cleaning is important for maintaining a safe food preparation surface, and can help keep your counters looking their best.
Do You Need To Seal Quantra Countertops?
You do not need to seal Quantra countertops, because the material is non-porous.
Can Quantra Be Scratched?
Quantra is very hard to scratch, although some very hard materials, like diamonds and natural stone, may produce scratches. Avoid use of stone cutting boards unless they have rubber feet. Do not turn a pizza stone on Quantra. Avoid using rough stoneware dishes.
Can You Use Standard Household Cleaners On Quantra?
Most general-use, multi-purpose cleaners can be used on Quantra. Avoid using strong chemicals and solvents. Avoid any product containing hydrofluoric acid, trichloroethane or methylene chloride.
